Sorry for our absence. I say that, as if people actually read this. At least we haven't stooped to those twitter fanatics.. Self absorbed and swimming in their own vanity they assume people care when they went grocery shopping..
Anyway, to recap that last two months; we got a new bass player, Evan Stowers, who then later left, and is now just a fill in when we need him... sadly enough, hair school has grown to become more of importance than his friends. But we still love him.
Hold on a second.. Youtubing Boy's Like Girls new video. Ashley Tisdale? Debating redboxing the High School Musicals..
Well.. as of lately, john's pyscho hose beast of a girlfriend and him finally ''unhitched the knot''... or whatever that saying is. They, "Untied the bow", if you can "smell what the Rock is cooking". John wasn't too upset. He "Cranked that Souja Boi" and "hopped onto the Bandwagon"... ?
Oh, and Will took a detour to Virginia to build churches. Yeah, we don't get it. We'll see him in a couple months.
Caleb and I are in process of setting up a recording haven. Technical mishaps and the busy "bosoms" have prevented us from even getting started. But we're working out the kinks, and soon our schedule will look like this: 1. Wake up, find food and cell phone 2. Meet up and endure long hours of recording 3. Find dinner, pretend to have a social life 4. Fall asleep 5. Repeat, till album is recorded, produced, and magical. We promise this compilation of beautiful and delicious songs will not only be great to listen to, but will help in the fight to cure cancer.
Enough about the band, we would just like to discuss a topic of discussion that we hope will lead to many different opinions and a great disussion.
We as a band have discussed the topic of how a singer makes the band. It doesn't matter the quality of the musicanship of the instrumentals, the singer is the reason you like or dislike the band. For example, John can barely even play the guitar, but since he is in the band with Caleb, people automatically conclude that he is an amazing guitarist. But in all reality, its just Caleb's vocals that keeps other hopeless romantics coming to our shows.
Another example of this is Nickelback. The Army of Nickelback fans love his sore, scratchy, toxic smoker throat, voice. Despite hating his voice, and lyrics, and his hair, the music aspect is just simple. John could play any of the parts, on spot, even with his little to non-existent musicianship. Yet, Nickelback sells millions of albums, tours the world, and wears cowboy boots.
On the other hand, Explosions In the Sky are creative, thoughtful, and all around good musicians. Yet, they are virtually unknown, due to the absence of a singer. It's a dark day when you realize how strange the popular music scene has gotten.
The next topic of discussion is the "Poser" section of the title. We would just like to salute those who wear guitar shirts. We have learn one thing as of lately, those who wear guitar shirts are either extremely good at guitar and we should all bask in their glory or they have never played guitar in their lives and just want people to think they actually know how to play the guitar. The other day we saw a young man with a Gibson Les Paul shirt on. We decided to go talk to him about the music he plays. It was as if he were grasping for an answer and nothing came out. "What? You don't play guitar? Your shirt was so misleading." People judge those on what they wear, and if you are willing to risk the embarrassment of being called out on the lie you are living. So here's to you!
Here's to you, Hopeless Romantics. We are off to the place that will soon be our home for the next few months. A place that we like to call the studio.

I totally agree with you two! Except on one thing... i think john is pretty good at guitar! but that could be because i am terrible... I still give him an A for effort??? But the whole guitar shirt thing that is totally true! My brother has guitar shirts and he is horrible at the guitar! okay okay he is pretty good i lied... And the discussion on how singers make the band, that is very true! Since That Storyline has such a good singer they will go far! So good luck boys! Have fun recording as well!
